Jars of recalled peanut butter are stacking
up at Lubbock stores. Consumers are returning
their jars after Thursday's nationwide peanut
butter recall. ConAgra is recalling Peter Pan
and Wal-Mart's great value brand peanut butter
after it was reported that salmonella may have
contaminated batch number 2111.
The first four digits of that code is the
batch number and if your's reads 2111
than you are eligible for a full refund. If you
search your pantry and find Peter Pan or Great
Value Brand peanut butter with 2111
as the first four digits of the product code,
usually found on the lid, you need to throw it
away or take the jar back to a store for a full
refund.

The salmonella outbreak has now spread to 41
states with 290 people infected. Thirteen cases
have been reported in Texas, however, there are
no suspected cases here in Lubbock. If you do
feel ill however, you're asked to contact your
physician instead of going to the emergency
room.
