Semi Truck Accident Statistics Continue to Rise in U.S. for 2010

NEW YORK, Feb. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The statistics are out for 2010 for Semi Truck, Tractor Trailer, and Commercial Vehicle accidents in the U.S.  And the numbers continue to go up.  In 2010 over 500,000 Large Truck and Commercial Vehicles were involved in accidents; with over 100,000 people sustaining serious injuries, and over 5000 people dying in these crashes.  This was compared to only 3200 deaths involving large trucks in 2009, according to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

Don't expect these numbers to "flatten out" in the near future as over 20% more Trucks are expected to hit the roads by 2012.  One industry that tracks Semi Truck Accident statistics is the Legal Funding Industry, who have seen a large spike in Semi Truck Accident Lawsuit Funding due to these increases.

Legal-Bay LLC, is an industry leader in assisting Semi Truck Accident victims with much needed Lawsuit Funding to obtain cash before their cases settle.  Legal-Bay's CEO, Dave Kole, commented on the statistics, "We have seen a large increase in plaintiffs seeking a lawsuit cash advance for commercial vehicle accidents recently.  The problem is alarming since the more accidents that continue to occur, the more lawsuits are then filed, and the more backed up the court systems get.  It is a problem for everyone across the board, since insurance companies in these types of cases are very slow to settle.  However, most affected by this are the many innocent accident victims who have been seriously injured by commercial vehicles and desperately need lawsuit funding just to pay for basic living needs.  Unfortunately, these statistics are troubling for accident victims since the trend only seems to be going higher and higher each year."

Many safety groups have called for the U.S. DOT to increase safety regulations to stem the death toll due to the increasing high number of Semi Truck, Tractor Trailer, and Commercial Vehicle Accidents that continue to rise year over year.  This is especially true in large states with large commercial truck traffic such as: California, Texas, New York, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Arizona

Technology advancement and accidents are two sides of coin, they travel hand in hand. With advance vehicles launched every minute,we here a news of road accident every second.Every one speaks about its remedies but this are only talks.People really don't care for this. Its time for us to move ahead and learn by ourself rather than waiting for some new laws to be launched.

Truck accidents are rising in these days. Unfortunately if you meet with an accident then first of all you should make a call to insurance company. Once you call your insurer, they will hurl an authorized towing company to the accident scene. This thing assists you to cover your accident cost.

There's no surprise in this, people driving vehicles this days are away from safety rule.Human life has become so cheap that it can't even defeat fuel prices.
