Wrongful Death | Danny Nagel Killed in Tragic West Text Forklift Accident

According to news reports from various West Texas news outlets, Daniel "Danny" Nagel, 18, of Spring, Texas died on Friday, March 11, 2011 after an industrial accident that happened near Odessa, Texas on the Mabee Ranch located on Highway 349. Danny Nagel was reported to have become pinned between a forklift and a semi-truck while on the job and apparently suffered severe internal injuries resulting in his wrongful death.

Further details regarding the accident have not been released. As we've seen time and time again in the oil and gas industry in Texas, and in many other industrial type jobs, safety has again lapsed in the field, and one young worker has been killed as a result.

While it is still too early to know exactly what happened to cause this accident, if experience tells us anything, we are confident that this will not be a simple " accident," but rather, will likely be the result of negligence and of placing profits and speed before safety on the job site.
