THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- A 23-year-old man was killed Tuesday morning at a business on Donwick Drive after an 18 wheeler backed into him.

Man pinned, killed by truck

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- A 23-year-old man was killed Tuesday morning at a business on Donwick Drive after an 18 wheeler backed into him, pinning him against a loading dock wall. Dustin White, of Shepard, TX was an employee of the business and was pinned after the truck he was helping unload backed into the loading dock.

According to police, the driver of the truck secured the rear cargo door and returned to the cab to prepare to leave. The victim moved between the rear of the truck and the loading dock wall. It is believed that White was attempting to repair a bumper pad when the truck rolled back and crushed him. Another employee saw the accident and called emergency services.

The driver was unaware that someone had been injured and began to drive away, but learned of the tragedy before leaving. White was taken by ambulance to the hospital where he died.

Criminal charges are not expected to be filed against the driver.
