Teen hit by car in far north Tarrant, taken to JPS
A teen-ager was seriously injured Tuesday when he was hit by a vehicle on a street in an unincorporated area of far north Tarrant County, a Tarrant County official said.
The 18-year-old was taken by helicopter ambulance to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. His condition was not available Tuesday evening.
The accident occurred shortly before 8:30 a.m. in the 9300 block of Ray White Road, near Wall-Price Road.
The driver stopped immediately and cooperated with authorities, said Terry Grisham, a spokesman for the Tarrant County Sheriff's Department. No citations were issued, but the investigation was ongoing.
The teen was a student at Keller Central High School, which is less than a half-mile from the accident scene.
Some teachers witnessed the accident and stayed with the student until the ambulance arrived.
