IRVING, Texas - The leaders of Irving Baptist Fellowship may be thinking about installing a drive-thru lane at their church, now that most of the work is done for them. A car smashed into the building this morning, leaving a gaping hole in the brick siding.
A church employee says the driver of the blue Honda was involved in a three-car accident and hit the gas instead of the brake when she got rear-ended by another car.
No one was in the building on Shady Grove Lane near Story Road, and the car's driver was taken to the hospital for observation. The church, however, has seen better days.
"Oh my word, it's our music room, and the music is just destroyed!" said Jo Goodman of Irving Baptist Fellowship. "We're just thankful that no one was hurt really badly as far as we know."
