A Fort Worth man died early Thursday, a little more than a day after he was injured in a traffic accident, Arlington police said.
Jose Reyes, 23, died at 1:16 a.m. at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office. He suffered multiple blunt force injuries.
Two others were injured in the crash, which occurred about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 1500 block of North Cooper Street. Their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
Reyes was driving a Volkswagen Jetta south on Cooper and an Acura was traveling north on the same street, Arlington police reports say.
Reyes turned left toward Road to Six Flags and was hit by the Acura, Arlington police said.
Neither alcohol nor drugs contributed to the accident, according to preliminary reports.
It was the 35th traffic fatality in Arlington this year.
