
Four people escaped serious injuries Sunday when a helicopter crashed on an Irving golf course, according to a preliminary report from the Federal Aviation Administration.
The incident occurred about 2:30 p.m. on the golf course at the Las Colinas Country Club, in the 4400 block of North O'Connor Road.
The report stated that the helicopter owned by Lana Air of Mead, Okla., went down after the engine quit. The only damage was to the tail boom.
The helicopter is a 1977 Bell 206B and is registered as a corporate aircraft, according to the FAA website.
FAA officials are investigating the incident.
