Car Accident | Killeen woman killed in rollover accident in Mansfield

A 23-year-old Killeen woman was killed Sunday afternoon after she was thrown from a car during a rollover wreck in Mansfield.

Sarah Morris was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:23 p.m., according to the Tarrant County medical examiner's office.

A male driver of the four-door Scion and a 3-week old boy who had been secured in a child safety seat were hospitalized, said Officer Thad Penkala, a Mansfield police spokesman.

"From what I understand, they did not receive any life-threatening injuries," Penkala said.

The single-vehicle wreck occurred in the southbound lanes of the 500 block of S. U.S. Highway 287. Penkala said the cause of the wreck remained under investigation Monday.
