A Midlothian man has died from injuries he suffered in a multi-vehicle crash last week at a Grand Prairie intersection, Grand Prairie police said Monday.
The victim was identified as Michael Maruska, 52, who died Friday at Methodist Dallas Medical Center where he was taken by helicopter ambulance shortly after the accident.
It was the 15th traffic fatality in Grand Prairie this year.
The crash occurred about 4:40 p.m. Sept. 6 at Lake Ridge Parkway and Travis Drive in Grand Prairie.
Maruska was riding on a 2010 Honda Gold Wing three-wheel motorcycle that was traveling northbound on Lake Ridge Parkway when a van pulled out in the path of the motorcycle, Grand Prairie police said Monday.
The van, driven by Khoa Nguyen, 20, of Grand Prairie, then collided with a 2011 Chevrolet pickup that had been stopped on the opposite side of the intersection, Grand Prairie police said.
Nguyen was treated for minor injuries, but no information was released on the driver of the pickup.
Grand Prairie police continued on Monday an investigation into the crash.
