
GRAND PRAIRIE - Police are investigating a fatality motorcycle collision that occurred Thursday in which the rider was not wearing a helmet. Modena Dollison, 43, of Waxahachie, was riding a 1992 Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound on Hwy 161 at the Interstate 20 westbound frontage road when a 2007 Dodge pickup turned left in front of her and the vehicles collided, police stated in a news release. Dollison was taken by helicopter ambulance to Methodist Dallas Medical Center where she died from injuries sustained in the wreck. Dollison was not wearing a helmet, police said. Alejandro Pardo, 28, a citizen of Mexico, was driving the truck. Pardo was not injured but was arrested at the scene and charged with manslaughter, police said. Pardo does not have a driver's license. Manuel Lozano, 22, a passenger is Pardo's vehicle, was not injured. The collision is under investigation, police said.
This is the 13th traffic fatality in Grand Prairie this year.
