
A teen-ager was seriously injured this morning after he was hit by a vehicle on a street in an unincorporated area of far north Tarrant County, a Tarrant County official said.
The 18-year-old was taken by helicopter ambulance to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.
The accident occurred shortly before 8:30 a.m. in the 9300 block of Ray White Road, near Wall-Price Road.
The driver of the vehicle was a 39-year-old woman. She stopped after the accident.
Tarrant County Sheriff Department spokesman Terry Grisham said that investigators were on the scene, trying to determine what had happened.
The teen was a student at Keller Central High School, which is less than a half-mile from the accident scene.
Some teachers witnessed the accident and stayed with the student until the ambulance arrived.
