Wrongful Death | Arlington girl dies after being struck by vehicle

ARLINGTON -- A 15-year-old girl was fatally injured Monday night when she was hit by a vehicle in the 3000 block of South Cooper Street, police reported.

According to a news release, the girl was crossing Cooper near Mayfield Road when she was struck about 9:10 p.m.

She was pronounced dead at 9:35 p.m. at Medical Center of Arlington. The Tarrant County medical examiner's office identified her as Jennifer Herring of Arlington.

The vehicle did not stop, and police were looking for the driver.

This is the 10th traffic fatality in Arlington this year.
